How long does it take to design & build a home in Arizona?
Design process for a custom home ready for submittal is roughly 5-8 months depending on the intricacy of the design. From start of construction to finish is roughly 17-20 months again depending on the intricacy of the design.
Do we have to be in state to build in Arizona?
No, not necessarily. Many meetings in the design process are conducted through a zoom call or microsoft meeting. It is helpful during the beginning phase of design to visit in-person to meet at the site to review setting and elevation expectations. During construction our weekly communication process with videos, pictures and drone videos/photos keep you in real time up to date.
Will you be involved & provide feedback during the design process to ensure we don’t over design for our budget?
Absolutely, that is one of many of the perks with our Pre-Construction Concierge Agreement. We are your Advocate and stay in tune with all the design decisions with regard to staying within your perceived budget. "We will tell you what you need to hear, not what you want to hear!” We protect your vision and dream realistically. This saves an enormous amount of time, money and stress.
If we don’t use all of our allowance towards a certain item can we use the saved portion of that allowance towards an another allowance item?
Absolutely. All allowances are flexible and remaining portions are yours to use in different areas of finishes. We are an open book builder. You see where every penny goes on a monthly basis. We deliver a financial status report monthly so you are able to see where your money is being spent.
How long does it take to get a permit?
Anywhere from 3-5 months depending on the intricacy of the design and architectural style of the home and lot.
